I’m an American from Wisconsin who has spent more than 20 years living, working and travelling in Europe. Luxembourg is home, but I’m rarely content to stay in one place for too long.
I love a beautiful hotel, an incredible meal, a shop I haven’t seen anywhere else and the feeling of discovering somewhere I know I’ll want to return to. I also love doing the research beforehand, probably more than most people, and I have very definite opinions about what is actually worth your time and money.
Culture.Style.Life. is where I share all of it.

Before there was Culture.Style.Life., there was City Savvy Luxembourg. I took over the publication several years ago and built it into a platform for sharing the places, people and experiences worth knowing about in Luxembourg.
Over time, what I wanted to write about expanded well beyond Luxembourg, just as my own travels did. Eventually, the publication needed to grow with me. Culture.Style.Life. became my edit of memorable hotels, restaurants worth booking, places I want to return to, beautiful things and the cultural details that make a destination worth discovering.
My path here hasn’t exactly been linear. I studied psychology and women’s studies, earned a master’s degree in education and later became a lawyer. I’ve taught, worked in international business, built businesses and spent years creating editorial content.

I believe the best travel experiences rarely come from trying to see everything.
I’d rather wander a neighbourhood, stay somewhere with a real sense of place, linger over a long lunch or discover one fantastic shop than rush through a list of things I’m supposed to see.
I care about beautiful spaces, good design, great food and the details that make a trip memorable. I love luxury, but I don’t believe something has to be expensive to be special.
Most importantly, recommendations should mean something. If I tell you I love a hotel, restaurant or destination, it’s because I actually do.

Start with Destinations for travel guides and itineraries, Hotels & Stays for places worth checking into, and Eat & Drink for the restaurants, cafés and bars I’d actually book.
Style & Culture is where you’ll find fashion, beauty, design, books, shopping and what I’m packing. And because Luxembourg is home, there’s an entire section devoted to the places I love here.
Think of Culture.Style.Life. as the answer I’d give if you asked me, “Where should I go, where should I stay and what shouldn’t I miss while I’m there?”

I’m a Taurus, which probably explains more than it should.
I have been known to plan an entire trip around a hotel or restaurant.
Bookshops, pharmacies and supermarkets somehow make it onto nearly every itinerary.
I believe a long lunch is a perfectly legitimate travel activity.
I have strong opinions about hotels, coffee and whether something is actually worth the hype.
And despite living in Luxembourg for years, I still think the Christmas markets are magical.
I work with a select number of hotels, destinations and brands that feel like a natural fit for Culture.Style.Life. and for the people who read it.
I’m selective about the partnerships I take on because I want everything you discover here to feel genuine, considered and consistent with the Culture.Style.Life. point of view.
